Much of that momentum is coming from familiar crossovers and sedans, although one powertrain category is growing especially quickly.Hybrids nearly doubled their sales compared with the same month last year. The Sportage Hybrid increased 40 percent, while the Sorento Hybrid rose 22 percent and the Carnival Hybrid gained 15 percent.Kia's electrified lineup, which includes its hybrid and electric offerings, increased 36 percent during August. Across the first eight months of 2026, hybrid sales are up 111 percent, while total electrified sales have increased 60 percent.The company credited its broad range of models and powertrain choices for helping drive demand.
