Jeep issued a recall for 419,035 Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L SUVs that may have defective side airbags.According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a software error may delay the deployment of the side airbags during a crash. As a remedy, Jeep dealers will update the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) software. The automaker will begin notifying owners on June 11.
