The recently relaunched Ford Bronco has gained popularity among car enthusiasts. The legacy model is thriving as new drivers are eager to drive Broncos.
But for some, the relaunched Bronco has created one frustration. They can’t figure out how to fit the removable roof inside the vehicle.
Now a woman has revealed that the Ford Bronco’s roof actually does fit perfectly inside.
In a TikTok that’s generated over 602,600 views as of this writing, Kate Minter (@kate_minter) demonstrates how a Bronco can be transformed into a convertible and the roof can be stored within the car.
How Do You Store the Bronco's Removable Roof in the Vehicle?
In the TikTok, Minter goes through the steps of removing the roof on the Ford Bronco and storing it inside.
The post was created as a response to a comment on a previous post where Minter said that the roof can be stored in the back of the Bronco.
“All three pieces fit in the back,” she captions the post.

This prompted someone to ask, “HHoowww? Can you show how you make it fit???”
Minter responded with a full breakdown of how to remove the three parts of the Bronco’s roof.
She begins by unclamping each latch of the three roof sections from the interior. After each latch is released, each roof portion is carefully lifted above. Once all three roof parts are disassembled, Minter shows that they fit into the trunk.
After unlatching each section, she places each roof panel aside and puts down the back seats.
The first piece that goes into the truck is the middle roof panel which is the largest. She simply slides in the middle roof panel effortlessly. It lays flat in the truck.
Next the passenger roof panel goes into the trunk on top of the middle panel. Minter then places a blanket on top of these two sections for protection.
Finally, she lays the remaining roof section on top and closes the truck with the roof parts neatly stored in the back.
To reinstall the roof, Bronco Nation reports that you start by placing the middle panel back on. Then proceed by adding the passenger side panel. The last panel that goes on will be the driver’s side.
Once all the panels are placed back on, secure the windshield latches and L-shaped latches. It’s best to double check each latch is fully in there so no roof panels fly off while driving.

What Do People Think of the Bronco's Removable Roof?
Viewers weren’t entirely impressed. People are more accustomed to simply pushing a button to open sunroofs and convertible roofs, after all.
As one said, “You'd think... a company who makes it where you can take the roof off... would also make it where it would fit perfectly into the back of the car.”
Some Jeep owners opined that their vehicles are superior to the Bronco.
“I’m a proud Jeep owner and I just press a button,” one said.
“Jeeps had it first,” another replied.
Not everyone felt the same. “I want a Jeep so bad but the Broncos are starting to look very appealing to me,” one woman said.
Others questioned the logistics of removing the roof and the potential risks involved.
“Soooo it rains you gotta go through all that trouble again? Oh [expletive] na,” one commented.
Still others felt that the amount of effort simply isn’t worth it.
“I’m sorry honey…that’s just too much physical labor to get some sunlight in my car. I need one push button to open and close. I’m too lazy for all that,” one said.
“I would not go through alllll of thattt,” another replied.
“Two hours’ prep for 5 [minute] ride,” a third opined.
“Takes under 10 minutes,” Minter replied.
