alicia.good/TikTokA California woman says she dropped off her Audi Q5 at a mechanic for two minor leaks, only to later learn the shop manager allegedly took the SUV out after hours and totaled it.Alicia Good posted a video on TikTok and said the Santa Monica shop she went to asked to keep her Q5 for an extra night while it was being repaired. She agreed, but claims the manager later took the vehicle without her permission.alicia.good/TikTokGood said the shop closed at 6 p.m. that Friday, but her Audi crashed into a 20 foot concrete barrier around 8:15 p.m. in Pacific Palisades, which was at least nine miles away."A crash expert who saw the damage said that he was probably driving 90 to 100 miles an hour," Good said in the video. "The impact split the engine in half and totaled my car."The video also included photos of her badly damaged Q5.Good also claims the shop owner knew about the crash by 9:15 p.m. that night but didn't contact her.alicia.good/TikTokInstead, she said she repeatedly called the shop the following day and wasn't told her Audi had been wrecked until nearly 18 hours after the crash.Since then, Good claimed that the mechanic has "taken little accountability" and she's "heard four different" explanations for what happened."Does this seem suspicious to you? Because it does to me," she continued.Good described the Audi as a low-mileage vehicle that was in otherwise excellent condition before the crash.Read More From First for AutosMichael Jordan's Ferrari 550 Maranello He Drove With NBA Trophy Sells for $2.7 MillionNorth Carolina Police Say Pair's Custom Couch Scooter Probably Not Safe To 'Drive'Autonomous Self-Driving Trucks Have Begun Hitting California HighwaysThis story Woman Takes Audi Q5 to Mechanic for 2 Minor Leaks, Manager Took It for a Joyride and Totaled It first appeared on First for Autos.
