The monthly sales results from major automakers provide a snapshot of what customers want at a given moment. Over the last few decades, there has been a gradual shift in buyer preferences toward SUVs and away from traditional sedans. However, Honda's newly released February 2026 delivery numbers have shown plenty of folks have continued to shop for cars because nearly all of these models have shown year-over-year volume increases so far in 2026.Honda is having a decent year in general so far in 2026. In February, it delivered 108,162 vehicles, which was a 1.1% gain over 107,011 units in February 2025. In the first two months of the year, the automaker moved 206,765 models – up 1.5% from 203,785 during the same period in 2025. Let's take a closer look at the numbers. Honda Sedan Sales Are Staying Strong HondaHonda's February 2026 sales show that sedans aren't dead yet. For example, the Accord is having a stellar start to the year. In February alone, the automaker moved 10,966 of them, and it has delivered 23,705 of them so far this year. The numbers are up an impressive 27.6%. The 2026 Accord receives a mild refresh that includes a new 9.0-inch touchscreen for the base trims. There are also trim tweaks throughout the lineup, including larger wheels for the SE grade and black exterior accents for the Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid versions.The Civic is also doing well, with 18,255 deliveries in February and volume up 1.3% for the year so far. The company does not break out sedan versus hatchback sales, though. The 2026 model received a slight price hike, with most models only increasing by $345 over the 2025 version. The company didn't make any significant feature changes to accompany the higher cost.HondaThe Prelude is Honda's new hybrid sports coupe, and deliveries are just beginning. In January, it moved 216 of them and 299 more in February, for a total of 515 examples so far in 2026. The low numbers suggest that Honda is still ramping up shipping these cars to dealers.The Acura Integra is now the brand's only sedan with the discontinuation of the TLX. The four-door's volume is up 14% so far this year, indicating that there's still a market looking for an entry-level premium compact sedan. The Integra received small updates for the 2026 model, including a standard 9.0-inch infotainment screen and a wireless charging pad.While Acura canceled the TLX for the 2025 model year, there are still examples of them sitting in showrooms. In January, the company sold 368 of them, and it moved 320 more in February. Don't expect them to stick around at dealers for too long. Beyond The Sedans HondaThe bestselling Honda in February was the CR-V, with 31,625 deliveries, up 3.8% from 30,358 in February 2025. Through the first two months of 2026, it has also been the automaker's top mover with 58,644 sales, an increase of 1.6% over 57,738 in the same period last year.Honda also noted that the Passport posted its best February ever with 4,746 deliveries, and the rugged-looking TrailSport accounted for over 80% of them. The info backs up a report from last year about the TrailSport being 76% of Passport sales at the time.The premium Acura brand is also doing well with 19,955 deliveries through January and February, putting it up 10.8% for the year so far. The sales announcement noted that this was its best February in the last five years. Similarly, the marque's SUV numbers were up 17.5% year over year, which was the best result since 2021.The latest reports indicate that Honda is focusing on manufacturing in the United States. For example, the automaker is considering building the next-generation Civic in Indiana, like the current model, rather than the original plan of making the new one in Guanajuato, Mexico.
