This model will debut on July 10 as a 5-meter flagship model with a LiDAR sensor, an HEV powertrain, and a fuel consumption of 4 liters per 100 km. It is a twin model of the previously launched Geely Galaxy Starshine 7 Max. On July 7, Geely Auto shared a teaser image of a new flagship sedan for the Geely brand. It is the FS21 model, which previously applied for a sales license in China under the Preface L90 name. It will be revealed on July 10 with ICE and HEV powertrain variants. Geely Preface i-HEV. Credit: MIIT The original Geely Preface is a global model with a widespread presence across the world. This year, the Geely Preface turned into a platform for Cyan Racing’s TCR race car. In June 2026, Cyan Racing dominated the race weekend in Valencia, Spain, securing three victories in a row. There is a high chance that the new Preface L90 will turn into the global model, reaching foreign countries. According to the Chinese governmental regulator, the Geely Preface L90 is a large sedan with dimensions of 4956/1915/1505 mm. The wheelbase reaches 2,845 mm. For clarity, the new flagship is 131 mm longer, 35 mm wider, and 35 mm higher than the standard Geely Preface sold in overseas markets. The Preface L90’s exterior adopts a large chrome-plated grille, sporty bumpers, and LED headlamps. The Geely Preface L90 will be avaialble with an optional LiDAR sensor The Geely Preface L90 adopts an optional LiDAR sensor on the roof. It hints the flagship sedan adopts the G-ASD G-Pilot H5 assisted driving system with dual Nidia Orin-X chips for a combined computing power of 508 TOPS. Cars with this system can perform the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) function on urban roads and highways. The Geely Preface L90 will be available with ICE and HEV powertrain options. The first one offers two engines: a 1.5-liter for 148 kW (198 hp) and a 2-liter for 200 kW (268 hp). As for the HEV powertrain, it adopts Geely’s latest i-HEV powertrain with a 1.5-liter ICE for 120 kW (161 hp). There is a high chance this engine is paired with a 1-speed DHT and an electric motor for 175 kW (235 hp). Previously, it was disclosed that the Preface L90 HEV has a fuel consumption of 3.98 liters per 100 km. More information about the Geely Preface L90 will be disclosed on July 10.
