The all-new seventh-gen Subaru Outback that came out late last year now gets an off-road-ready Wilderness trim, with more upright, squared-off, SUV-like proportions, including a huge, brick wall of a grille, all-terrain tires, and almost an inch more ground clearance. The revised 2.5-liter four-cylinder boxer engine makes 180 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. But the most impressive improvement is a set of new electronically controlled dampers that appear on the Wilderness only.
