SubaruSubaru is celebrating two major anniversaries with a pair of limited-edition performance cars, but drivers hoping to snag one will have to move fast. The automaker unveiled the 2027 Subaru WRX GD25 and BRZ ZC15 at Boxerfest 2026 in York, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, September 27, according to a press release from Subaru. Production will be limited to just 350 WRX GD25s and 300 BRZ ZC15s.The names of both anniversary models are a nod to the original versions of the cars that first arrived in the U.S."Our anniversary edition WRX and BRZ models commemorate the iconic performance heritage and successes of both vehicles in the U.S.," said William Stokes, Car Line Planning Manager for Subaru of America, per the press release. "The WRX GD25 is a tribute to our rally-ready sedan and its sports car pedigree, including the wing it shares with the ARA Championship-winning ARA25L. Similarly, BRZ ZC15 embodies the best of our long-running, accessible performance sports car, right down to its rear wheel-drive engagement."SubaruThe WRX GD25 marks 25 years since the car first arrived in the U.S. in 2002, and Subaru leaned heavily into its racing history for the anniversary edition. All 350 will come in the brand's signature World Rally Blue with gold wheels and a massive carbon-fiber rear wing. In fact, it's the same wing used on Travis Pastrana's WRX ARA25L rally car.Subaru didn't make any major changes under the hood, with the GD25 still producing 271 horsepower. However, anyone who wants one had better know how to drive a stick shift. The anniversary edition is only being made with a six-speed manual transmission.SubaruThe BRZ ZC15 gets a very different look for its 15th anniversary. The 300 cars will come exclusively in Ceramic White with matte bronze wheels, a color combination inspired by a special BRZ released back in 2020.It also comes exclusively with a six-speed manual and produces 228 horsepower. The biggest mystery, however, is exactly how much either car will cost. Subaru hasn't announced pricing yet and said those details will come closer to launch. The BRZ ZC15 will be the first to hit the road in early 2027, followed by the WRX GD25 in the summer of that same year.Read More From First For Autos86-Year-Old Driver Busted Going 110 MPH Says He's Now 'a Dead Man Walking' After Viral ArrestOwner in Tears as 1957 Chevy Bel Air Finally Hits the Road for First Time in 30 YearsWorld Record-Holding Jet-Powered RC Car Takes Aim at Breaking the 100 MPH BarrierThis story Subaru Unveils 2 Ultra-Limited Anniversary Sports Cars, and Only 650 Will Be Made first appeared on First For Autos.
