An updated version of the Ford Edge L has surfaced in China SUV gains styling updates focused on the front and rear ends. It will remain available with ICE and hybrid powertrain options. The Ford Edge may have disappeared from North American showrooms in 2024, but the nameplate is alive and well on the other side of the Pacific. In China, it sells as the Edge L, built locally through the Changan-Ford joint venture, and three years after its debut, the SUV is now lined up for a mid-cycle refresh. A filing with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has surfaced the changes, including styling updates and a full spec sheet, ahead of an official reveal expected in the coming months. Vertical intakes flank the lower bumper, and a brushed-aluminum skid plate sits in the splitter. The facelifted Edge L (above) compared to the outgoing model (below). At the back, the Edge L gains a redesigned tailgate with a slimmer trim for the taillight housings, although the LED graphics appear to be the same. Furthermore, the license plate holder has been relocated to the rear bumper, along with a tweaked diffuser and repositioned reflectors.
