Ford achieved the lower prices by stripping out some standard equipment. The entry-level Raptor loses features including the head-up display, fog lamps, and a 14-speaker audio system, while the entry-level Tremor drops heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and power sliding rear glass, among other items, while retaining the off-road hardware on both models."For us, it made sense because it just broadens the offer and certainly doesn't take away from either the capability of that new entry or of the model that it came down from," Todd Eckert, Ford Blue senior director of truck consumer marketing, told CNBC.AdvertisementAdvertisementOn the powertrain side, the 5.0-liter V-8 — rated at 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque — is returning to the King Ranch and Platinum trims for the first time since the 2023 model year, making it available across the full F-150 range from XL to Platinum. Ford also replaced the outgoing 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 with a new 3.0-liter EcoBoost V-6 as the standard engine, which the company said delivers roughly 10-11% more torque in everyday driving conditions while sharing the same peak capability as its predecessor."We heard pretty loudly from both customers and dealers that even on those premium series, that they wanted the option to have a V-8 engine," Eckert told CNBC.The 2027 F-150 also introduces BlueCruise with Towing, a hands-free highway driving feature that works while trailering on more than 130,000 miles of pre-qualified divided highways. Ford said the feature will be available on every BlueCruise-equipped 2027 F-150, from the XLT to the Platinum, at no added cost for customers with an active BlueCruise subscription.Additional updates include newly designed grilles and wheel options on XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum models, along with a new F-150 Carhartt edition available on 4x4 XLT Crew Cab configurations, starting at $62,660. The Carhartt package adds branded exterior badging, a spray-in bedliner, and Carhartt-themed interior trim, and is priced at $4,195.Ford said production of the 2027 F-150 is expected to begin in early 2027. The 2027 F-150 Carhartt is available to order starting Tuesday.
