Image Credit: Zenvo.Danish hypercar manufacturer Zenvo has unveiled the production-intent version of its Aurora Tur, bringing one of the automotive world's most ambitious performance projects a step closer to customer deliveries. The latest validation prototypes showcase the final design and engineering ahead of production, which is scheduled to begin next year.At the heart of the Aurora Tur is a hybrid powertrain producing a claimed 1,850 horsepower, making it the most powerful V12-powered road car ever announced by the company. The hypercar combines a newly developed quad-turbocharged V12 engine with three electric motors to deliver extraordinary performance figures. The Aurora Tur will make its public debut at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where Zenvo will display two production-specification validation prototypes alongside the track-focused Aurora Agil. The event marks a significant milestone as the Danish automaker moves from prototype development toward customer production.AdvertisementAdvertisementProduction of the Aurora lineup will remain highly exclusive, with just 50 vehicles planned across both Aurora variants. Customer deliveries are expected to begin in the summer of 2027 following the completion of the final validation phase.Quad-Turbo V12 Headlines the PowertrainImage Credit: Zenvo. The centerpiece of the Aurora Tur is a bespoke 6.6-liter quad-turbocharged V12 developed in collaboration with MAHLE Powertrain. The engine alone is targeted to produce 1,250 horsepower and 885 lb-ft of torque while revving to an impressive 9,800 rpm.Three electric motors complement the combustion engine to raise total system output to a claimed 1,850 horsepower and 1254 lb-ft of torque. A single P2-mounted motor is integrated with the eight-speed transmission, while two additional motors drive the front axle and provide torque vectoring through the all-wheel-drive system.Zenvo says the V12 represents the most powerful production road-car engine of its kind. The hybrid system has been engineered to deliver both maximum performance and improved responsiveness throughout the rev range.Performance Targets Match the Extreme OutputThe Aurora Tur's performance goals place it among the fastest road cars currently in development. Zenvo is targeting a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 2.3 seconds and estimates a top speed of approximately 260 mph (418 km/h).AdvertisementAdvertisementThe company also claims the hypercar can accelerate from 0 to 186 mph in around nine seconds before reaching 248 mph in roughly 17 seconds. Those figures are supported by a lightweight carbon-composite monocoque chassis and carbon-fiber bodywork, resulting in a dry weight of approximately 3413 lbs.Suspension consists of double-wishbone pushrod systems at both the front and rear, while carbon-ceramic brakes and bespoke center-lock wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires are designed to manage the Aurora's immense performance capabilities. Two Models Share One Bespoke PlatformImage Credit: Zenvo.Zenvo has developed two versions of the Aurora using the same purpose-built architecture. The Aurora Tur is designed as a grand touring hypercar, balancing extreme performance with greater long-distance comfort and road usability.Alongside it sits the Aurora Agil, a lighter, road-legal model with a stronger emphasis on circuit performance. Although both share the same mid-engine platform and hybrid technology, each has been tuned to suit a different driving experience.AdvertisementAdvertisementZenvo says the prototypes appearing at Goodwood closely represent the final customer specification, both inside and out. The appearance follows the Aurora's earlier prototype demonstrations and signals that development is entering its final stages.Limited Production Adds to ExclusivityZenvo will build only 50 Aurora models in total, making the hypercar one of the rarest new performance cars planned for production. The limited build, combined with its headline-grabbing power figures, is expected to make the Aurora highly sought after among collectors. The unveiling also represents an important step for the Danish manufacturer as it prepares to launch what it describes as its most significant vehicle to date. If the production model delivers on its claimed performance targets, the Aurora Tur will enter the market as one of the most powerful and technically advanced hybrid hypercars ever offered for the road.If you want more stories like this, follow Guessing Headlights on Yahoo so you don't miss what's coming next.
