The new variant is called Flying Edition. It starts at 102,900 yuan (15,085 USD) before discounts. The updated BYD Song Pro DM-i aligns with its predecessor in terms of exterior styling. It is a compact-sized crossover with dimensions of 4735/1860/1690 mm. Its wheelbase is 2,712 mm. It has five seats inside. The center console adopts a floating touchscreen with a diameter of 15.6 inches. The gear shifter sits behind a two-spoke steering wheel. Interior of the BYD Song Pro DM-i Flying Edition The BYD Song Pro DM-i Flying Edition comes standard with a DiSus-C continuous damping control system that reportedly adapts to driving conditions on a millisecond level. It suppresses body roll and enhances handling. The updated car also boasts a high-speed tire blowout stability control system that coordinates drive and braking to prevent the loss of control. The BYD Song Pro DM-i Flying Edition The new Song Pro DM-i Flying Edition comes standard with the DiSus 100 (“God’s Eye C”) ADAS system. It is capable of the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) feature on highways. However, this car could be optionally equipped with the DiPilot 300 (“God’s Eye B”) LiDAR-based assisted driving system. It allows the car to perform the NOA function on urban roads. It also supports over 300 parking scenarios. The DiPilot 300 package costs an additional 9,900 yuan (1,450 USD). Powertrain and prices The Song Pro DM-i Flying Edition adopts a 1.5-liter ICE for 74 kW (99 hp). It works in pairs with a 120 kW (161 hp) electric motor. They power a front axle. Two LFP battery variants are available with capacities ranging from 26.6 to 34.27 kWh. The car’s electric range lies between 220 and 301 km under CLTC conditions. The top-trim car offers a 33.3% electric range boost, compared to its predecessor. The mixed fuel consumption of the Song Pro DM-i is 3.2 liters per 100 km.
