This could cause the starter to malfunction, leading to a "non-starting engine" and in more extreme cases, a fire, when trying to start the vehicle.Several vehicles are affected by the problem, the 2021-2024 BMW X3 having the largest number of affected vehicles with 210,748. However, other vehicles include the 2021-2025 BMW X4, 2023-2024 BMW 3 Series, 2023-2024 BMW 4 Series Convertible, 2023-2024 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe, 2021-2023 BMW 5 Series, 2022-2025 BMW 2 Series Coupe, and 2022-2026 BMW Z4.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe recall also includes 270 Toyota Supras from the 2023 and 2024 model years.
