Munich's new-car offensive is well underway, and a couple of these have either just arrived in showrooms or are coming in just a few more weeks.First, there's the iX3, with U.S. sales and deliveries kicking off just a few days ago, September 16, 2026. Then there's the fifth-generation X5, which will be on dealer lots by October. These are two of the company's most important new-car debuts, as one represents its trajectory and advances in EV mobility, while the other will be the volume driver.BMWDiscounts AlreadyAll things considered, both the iX3 and X5 have been priced to sell. The iX3 50 xDrive carries a base price of $61,500, and note that an entry-level 40 model is coming down the line. As for the all-new X5, prices range from $69,800 to $79,800 for the electric iX5.AdvertisementAdvertisementBut even now, BMW is offering discounts on these new SUVs. According to CarsDirect, BMW is now offering loyalty discounts, which might encourage current owners to step up to these Neue Klasse SUVs. It's not a massive discount, per se, but a deal is a deal. For the iX3, BMW is now offering a $500 loyalty discount for those who would like to buy its first Neue Klasse crossover SUV, and it can be applied with the financing promo of 4.99% APR for 60 months. As for the X5, it's a bigger $1,000 loyalty discount, and like the iX3, it can be paired with the 4.99% APR for 60 months promo.BMWMoving Stocks ASAPBut beyond the discounts, there's another good reason why BMW is quite aggressive with its pricing and promos. Audi had managed to undercut the X5 with its equally new Q7, and the folks from Ingolstadt also started offering discounts on the much larger Q9 just before BMW pulls the covers off the next-gen X7. BMW is countering that as early as now, even before the redesigned X5 even set foot in showrooms. At the same time, the company invested heavily in these new cars, which is all the more reason why it's keen to sell off as many as it can as early as possible.Let's not forget Mercedes-Benz, too, as it's also gearing up for a raft of new models that will soon be in dealers. That makes for an interesting time for the European luxury car market. The German big three are launching new and all-new models like never before, and you can expect all of them to drum up ways to lure you into their respective showrooms. This story was originally published by Autoblog on Sep 21, 2026, where it first appeared in the News section.
