The vehicle is available in three trim levels with pre-sale prices ranging from 119,900 yuan (17,600 USD) to 139,900 yuan (20,600 USD). The Ioniq V is uniquely tailored for the Chinese market, with the design process fully led by the Hyundai China Design Centre. This “China-first” approach is intended to eventually export the design and concepts back to global markets. This model was first revealed at the Beijing Auto Show 2026 and exposed by regulatory filings in May. PricingThe pre-sale pricing structure is as follows: Standard Edition: 119,900 yuan (17,600 USD) Smart Driving Edition: 129,900 yuan (19,100 USD) Long-Range Edition: 139,900 yuan (20,600 USD) The front, side and headlight details of the Ioniq V. Design and dimensionsThe Ioniq V features sharp, flat surfaces. The front fascia replaces the traditional grille with a fully closed decorative panel, flanked by split lighting components that include a horizontal daytime running light strip and integrated headlights within the bumper. The vehicle boasts a sleek fastback silhouette, frameless doors, and blacked-out window trim. For personalisation, customers can choose from eight colours: Cyber Gold, Dimension Purple, Gamma Green, Magnetic Grey, Photon White (solid), Photon White (matte), Flowing Silver, and Night Blade Black. In terms of dimensions, the Ioniq V measures 4,900mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and 1,470mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900mm. Interior and technologyThe interior features a “Nebula Wrap-around” design, utilising Alcantara and bright accents paired with Nebula light ambient lighting. The centrepiece of the cabin is a 27-inch 4K central control screen powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. The infotainment system is integrated with advanced AI large-language models, including Ernie Bot (Wenxin Yiyan from Baidu) and Doubao (from ByteDance). Additionally, the car is equipped with the “Cyber Eye” HUD head-up display. For driver assistance, the Ioniq V utilises the Momenta system to provide high-speed auxiliary driving capabilities. Performance and BatteryThe Ioniq V is powered by a single motor with two output options: 140 kW (188 hp) 168 kW (225 hp) Depending on the configuration, the vehicle is paired with either a 53.5 kWh or a 66.8 kWh LFP battery from CATL.
