Despite being developed by the Hyundai China Design Center, this futuristic EV is expected to reach global markets and solidify the Korean automaker’s position in the growing NEV segment. This EV is available in eight color options: golden, purple, green, gray, white, matte white, silver, and black. The car boasts a drag coefficient of 0.23 Cd. Its dimensions are 4900/1890/1470 mm with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. For clarity, it is 10 mm shorter than the Hyundai Sonata. Interior of the Hyundai Ioniq V The car’s cabin boasts a large 27-inch dual-screen setup and a head-up display. The gear shifter sits behind an oval-shaped steering wheel. Its center tunnel adopts a wireless phone charging pad, a 15-liter storage compartment, and a pair of cup holders. The infotainment system is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. Another highlight of the Ioniq V is the Momenta assisted driving system, capable of the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) function on highways. The trunk capacity is 465 liters. The Ioniq V stands on the 800V high-voltage system. Its entry-level variant has a 53.5 kWh LFP pack from CATL that powers a 140 kW (188 hp) electric motor. The range is 540 km under CLTC conditions (443 km WLTP). There is also a long-range variant with a 66.8 kWh LFP battery manufactured by CATL. It is paired with a 168 kW (225 hp) electric motor. The car’s range reaches 650 km CLTC (533 km WLTP).
