2027 hyundai tucson xrt pro hands on previewHyundai has just revealed the new 5th generation Tucson and with it, a surprisePrevious versions of the Tucson offered an XRT appearance kit. But that's not what this is. This is a dedicated new trim level, the XRT PRO!So how is that different? Watch and find out:For starters this is designed to be a more legitimate off-road vehicle. It's no Jeep Wrangler, but rather something that's designed to be more capable and that might stop you from buying that Subaru.Style wise it does get what Hyundai calls forged carbon side cladding, along with bright red tow hooks and of course it comes standard with all-wheel drive. There are also truckish 18-inch wheels fitted with all-terrain tires – the first time a Tucson has ever come from the factory with AT tires. The ride height is now 30mm higher delivering 8.3-inches of ground clearance as well as improved approach and departure angles so you don't rip your bumper off.Inside there's a nice little mountain motif on the seats, but the biggest upgrade might just be the AI powered terrain management system. Rather than a conventional multi terrain select where you manually turn a dial for mud, snow or sand, this system uses AI to detect the type of surface you're driving on and adjust the drivetrain responsiveness to maximize your grip.We want to know if it acts like ChatGPT and says things like "You're right, that white stuff probably is snow, not mud."There you have it. If you new crossover doesn't look like a 4Runner and use AI, is it even a modern crossover. Would you buy this over a Subaru?2027 Hyundai Tucson XRT Pro: All the Details2027 Hyundai Tucson XRT Pro: All the DetailsView Gallery21 photosFor more on the new Tucson, see our deep dive here.
