Watch Goodwood Hill Climb's New Car DebutsYouTube / Goodwood Road and RacingSad as it may be, most of us automotive fans aren't able to make it to southern England in any given year to see the mighty spectacle of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It's a pilgrimage every car lover ought to attempt once, to soak in the majestic spread of speed machines that bring together the past, present, and future of auto-dom all in one place—graced not just with the world's rarest and wildest cars on static display but also a chance to see many of them at full whack as they power up the fabled hill climb, often with drivers who spend their days racing Formula 1 or Le Mans cars moonlighting behind the wheel.Luckily for those of us who can't be there, however, the good people behind the motoring events at the Duke of Richmond's principal seat do a spectacular job posting the best of the festivities on social media, giving the masses around the world the chance to watch along with all the Goodwood good times. And take it from someone who's been: much like a proper race, the cameras honestly provide a better view of a car's hill climb attack than you can get in person. We've already touched on the global dynamic debut of the Lexus LFA (you can watch that here) but being Friday afternoon and all here in the States, we figured it was worth highlighting the full clip reel of all the top debuts from the hill climb on Thursday's first day of moving festivities at Goodwood. Jaguar's camouflaged Type 01 EV leads off the pack, clawing its way along and occasionally dancing off the pavement; it's followed in short order by the new Audi Nuvolari, Honda's delightful Super N Kei car, and ... well, we don't want to spoil all the fun, so just kick back and enjoy the clip show.Oh, and if that left you wanting more, no worries: the Goodwood YouTube channel also has a compendium of many of the event's assembled supercars (though they do use the word a bit loosely in a couple instances) also taking to the hill climb, should you like to see the Red Bull RB17 or Gordon Murray's latest creation open a can of high-priced whup-ass on some British tarmac.Which car looked or sounded the best while making like Kate Bush and running up that hill?
