65 Ferraris Take Over Pebble BeachMark VaughnNormally you'd have to wait until February and drive all the way to Florida for Cavallino Classic, the grand gathering of famous Ferraris held in South Florida during the height of "the season." That's well worth it and you should plan now to attend, but anyone who was in Pebble Beach last weekend got to see an almost-mini Cavallino Classic on the first fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links for free. The beauty started on Saturday, August 15, when a curated collection of classic Ferraris drove through the surrounding area in the Ferrari Parade then onto the First Fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links. The cars stayed parked there through Sunday, where anyone who was able to get close enough to the Pebble Beach Concours could wander through the collection of 65 classics.Ferrari also showed its modern lineup, from the F80 to the somewhat controversial Luce, though the latter was swathed in a black/grey matte that gave it a more off-road-ready SUV-like character.AdvertisementAdvertisementIt was a great day full of beautiful cars.
