There's a new pickup truck craze in the USA, with Ford leading the charge by introducing the Maverick Lobo and, more recently, the F-150 Lobo as "street trucks." These trucks may have more street cred and look more aggressive, but when it comes to amped up performance, Ram has catapulted ahead by introducing a true performance upgrade to it's 1500 pickup - and it's not just one new truck either. Enter, the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee trio, coming as 2027 models.RamRam has created the ideal merging of muscle car and pickup truck, harking back to the original 'Viper Truck' from twenty years ago. The Ram 1500 SRT10 from that era came with an 8.4-liter V10 and 500 horsepower, but the new three-trim lineup brings so much more than that in 2027. RamThe Rumble Bee is the base truck, and arrives with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 late in 2026. More aggressive models will follow in the first half of 2027. All models have ful- time active four-wheel drive with a Borg Warner 48-11 transfer case and variable torque splitting. RamThe exterior of the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee shows extensive aero upgrades that aid in stability, cooling, and downforce. A hood scoop can be seen here that feeds cool air to the 'Eagle' engine making 395 hp and 410 lb-ft in the base truck.RamNext up in the lineup is the 2027 Rumble Bee 392 with exterior enhancements that show off it's more aggressive nature. It's a Ram-first as it comes standard with a 392-cubic inch Hemi V8 that enabled a 5.2-second run to 60 mph. Unique badging on the exterior of the new Ram 1500 Rumble Bee 392 sets it apart from the lower model, with the logo adding a stinger to the 'Rumble Bee' on this trim.RamDespite aero upgrades to the exterior of the new Ram 1500 Rumble Bee that identify it as a performance truck, it can still perform truck duties, with a maximum towing capacity of 8,890 pounds, and 1,160 lbs as max payload. Still, designers have ensured it handles in the most "untrucklike" way possible, with a focus on performance. RamAs the middle trim in the lineup, the Rumble Bee 392 comes with the 'Apache' engine that puts out 470 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque. The V8 features a forged steel crankshaft and hypereutectic cast aluminum pistons. The available Track Pack adds on an electronic spool differential with electroic locking; a limited slip differential will also be available.RamAt the top of the lineup sits the Rumble Bee SRT, equipped with the most powerful V8 engine ever offered in a production truck. The 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat Hemi V8 makes 777 hp and 680 lb-ft, and is paired to a more robust version of the 8-speed automatic transmission to handle the additional power. RamIn order to attain a targeted 3.4-second sprint to 60 mph (and a 170-mph top speed), aero upgrades to the exterior of the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT include more aero kit, such as a front splitter and rear spoiler, and 22-inch wheels with massive 325/40R22 all-seasons tires - the widest tires and wheels Ram has offered since the legendary Dodge Viper.RamThe wheelbase of the Rumble Bee has been reduced by 13 inches to aid this, leaving the Ram 1500 Rumbe Bee with exterior length measurements of 2195 inches, and a width of 88 inches. These trucks are wider, with flared arches and a decidedly muscle-car influence.RamThe interior of the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee lineup has been heavily influenced by muscle cars, which means it is more functional and perofrmance-focused than anything else. Base models get cloth bucket seats with manual adjustment, while upper trims gain suede and contrast stitching. The Rumble Bee 392 interior is characterized by Prowler Yellow accent stitching, for example. RamA 12.3-inch digital display is standard, across the lineup, and in the lower trims, a Uconnect touchscreen of 8.4 inches is included, featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This grows to 12 inches on the two upper trims. RamInside Rumble Bee SRT variants you'll find Desert Orange stitching and unique badging that identifies top-spec models. You also get powered bucket seats in premium Natura Plus leather and suede, with aggressive side bolsters and more adjustment. Carbon fiber Deco trim is added to the interior of the top Rumble Bee truck. RamThe exterior of the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is unique not just for the aesthetics, but in terms of configuration. Exclusive to the performance truck is the combination of Quad Cab and short bed, which is deemed more appropriate for the kind of handling the brand has imbued the truck with.
