ABT boosts the A6 eHybrid Quattro to 422 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. The package includes a glossy black bodykit and quad tailpipes. Buyers can also opt for 21-inch alloy wheels and lowering springs. With Audi sitting out the combustion S6 this generation and reserving the badge for the all-electric S6 e-tron, ABT Sportsline has stepped into the void with a tuning package that turns the plug-in hybrid A6 into the closest thing to a proper S6 you can currently buy. The electrified alternative is based on the A6 eHybrid Quattro S Tronic. Its plug-in hybrid setup pairs a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a single electric motor and a 14.1 kWh battery pack. The result is an EV-only WLTP range of up to 69 miles (111 km) between charges. More: There’s No RS5, So ABT Made One, Sort Of Thanks to the ABT Power module, combined output of the PHEV system rises from 362 hp (270 kW / 367 PS) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque to a healthier 422 hp (315 kW / 428 PS) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). Power is sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission and Audi’s Quattro system. Those figures still fall short of the 444 hp (331 kW / 450 PS) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) delivered by the old twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 S6, but they make the plug-in hybrid far more appealing. ABT also claims this as the most powerful version of the C9 generation so far, exceeding the 362 hp (270 kW / 367 PS) of the US-spec model equipped with the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6. More: Audi Doesn’t Have An RS Q5 But This Tuner Built The Next Best Thing The added performance is paired with a set of lowering springs, sharpening handling and giving the executive sedan a more purposeful stance. Visually, the Kempten-based tuner offers a subtle bodykit including a sharper front splitter and a rear wing with floating fins, finished in glossy black. Buyers can also get a matching set of 21-inch ABT Sport HR21 alloy wheels shod in performance tires. At the back, the matte black quad tailpipes made of stainless steel send Audi Sport vibes. Finally, interior upgrades are limited to ABT-branded floor mats and puddle lights. How Much Does It Cost? If you want ABT to make your A6 eHybrid meaner and faster you will need €15,500 ($18,200) for the complete package including the bodykit, wheels, lowering springs, and power module. Buyers can also pick individual components, with the power upgrade priced at €2,990 ($3,500) and a full wheel and tire set at €7,600 ($8,900). The A6 eHybrid Avant itself starts at €77,550 ($90,800) in Germany before any ABT hardware is added. The tuner offers the same treatment for the Sedan bodystyle and for the less potent PHEV variant as well.
