While the story began with the short-lived Roadster, it was the more mainstream models that cemented Tesla as an EV powerhouse. For the longest time, the Tesla Model S (along with the Model X) has stood as the brand's best-selling model. Just this year, the Model S was finally discontinued, but before it went out of production, Tesla gave it one last special edition.FLIP DETECTED 🚨 It didn't take long for the flips to start 💀Tesla enthusiast Justin Roy, who many of you probably saw documenting his new delivery in Facebook groups, has already flipped his Signature Model S Plaid. It's now listed for $260,490. Given its limited availability and the expected high demand, Tesla implemented a special rule for those lucky enough to purchase one of the 250 units. It has come to light that people who bought the Signature Edition cars were asked to agree to a no-resale clause for the first year of ownership. However, it seems somebody either forgot about the clause or doesn't care because a Signature Edition Model S Plaid has just come up for sale.AdvertisementAdvertisementAccording to a report by Teslarati, they stumbled upon an online listing from J&S Autohous in Ewing, New Jersey. What's interesting about this listing, apart from the blatant disregard of the no-resale clause, is the price. The seller is asking for $260,490 for the 497-mile Model S Signature Edition, which is almost double the price of the car when bought brand new ($159,420). It'll be interesting to see now if Tesla will block the sale of this car and might even pursue legal action, according to some reports, if an owner has a true and legal reason to sell the car within the 1-year no-resale period; Tesla reserves the right of first refusal to buy back the car.Sawyer Merritt/XSaving the Best for LastThe Signature Edition models featured a host of upgrades that set them apart from the normal Model S Plaid.
