"special wishes," division has struck again. This time, it's in honor of our friends down in Australia, and the result is called the 911 Turbo S Land Down Under. The new one-off 992.2-gen Turbo S is a special Sonderwunsch commission created by Porsche Cars Australia to commemorate 75 years of the brand's official presence Down Under From a distance, you might think this is just a silver 911 Turbo S that's dirty from driving through the Outback ... but a closer inspection reveals just how special this car is.AdvertisementAdvertisementIt starts with the Chromaflair gradient paintwork. This is the first Porsche in Australia to ever wear these two new Chromaflair paint colors: Terra Australis Red covers the lower part of the car, with Southern Cross Blue covering the upper half. Both colors were applied by hand, and the job took more than 300 hours to complete. The result is a paint job that creates an effect that transitions from "desert orange, dusk-sky blue, eucalyptus green and sunrise gold depending on the angle and light."PorscheWhile the custom paint finish inspired by Australia's scenery is striking, there are plenty of other exterior details that set this car apart. Porsche enlisted Sydney-based artist Werner Bronkhorst to create a collection of Australian-themed illustrations for the car;, the miniature artworks inspired by the country's landscapes, wildlife, and cultureare tucked into unexpected places throughout the car, adding another layer of personality.PorscheInside, the theme continues with a cabin featuring a combination of Dark Night Blue leather and Coolibah Brown. The 14,417 perforations in the seats are aligned to create a unique pattern, while Australian Silky Oak wood trim, and topographical graphics of the Blue Mountains integrated into the dashboard and door panels further enhance the interior design. But the highlight may be the embroidered headliner: it depicts the Southern Hemisphere night sky as it appeared over Uluru in 1951, commemorating the year Porsche officially arrived in Australia.PorscheOf course, this one-off isn't just about custom craftsmanship. Underneath the incredible paint job and Australian-inspired details is a 701-horsepower hybrid powertrain. The 911 Turbo S is capable of blasting to 60 mph in just 2.0 seconds. Porsche even had a little fun with that fact, hiding the phrase "See ya later, mate" beneath the rear spoiler for anyone left behind.PorscheAdvertisementAdvertisementOf course, this particular car is a one-of-one that's unlikely to ever leave Oceania, so odds of us seeing it in America are slim. Still, you could consider it a jumping-off point for your own future Sonderwunsch build.
