ES8 delivery lead times have shortened from 24-26 weeks post-launch to 11-12 weeks. Yang Bo, NIO’s Head of User Operations, revealed in a post that production capacity continues to be maintained, and the 60,000th all-new ES8 will be delivered this week. This milestone comes just 12 days after NIO delivered its 50,000th all-new ES8. NIO’s VP of User Operations hints the all-new ES8 will hit its 60,000th unit delivery this week. Looking back at the delivery journey of the all-new ES8: On September 21st of this year, NIO officially commenced deliveries of the all-new ES8. On October 31st, the 10,000th all-new ES8 was delivered at the Shanghai Nanxiang Delivery Center, setting the fastest record for a pure electric vehicle priced above 400,000 RMB to reach 10,000 deliveries, taking 41 days. Merely 29 days later, on November 29th, the 20,000th all-new ES8 was delivered at the Shenzhen Bantian Delivery Center. The delivery pace continued to accelerate thereafter: surpassing 30,000 units by day 89, breaking 40,000 units by day 100, and exceeding 50,000 units by day 120. As production capacity and delivery efficiency improved in tandem, delivery anxiety eased. The official NIO App shows that the estimated delivery wait time for the ES8 has shortened from the initial 24-26 weeks at launch to the current 11-12 weeks. 50,000th All-New ES8 Delivered Even as the traditional automotive sales off-season arrives, market enthusiasm for the all-new ES8 shows no signs of cooling. According to data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), the model achieved retail sales of 22,258 units in December 2025, securing the title of the best-selling large three-row SUV for that month. It also set a new single-month sales record for vehicles priced above 400,000 RMB. If the 60,000th unit is successfully delivered this week, it will mean the all-new ES8 has maintained a monthly delivery volume exceeding 20,000 units for two consecutive months. NIO’s flagship ES9 undergoes winter testing in Yakeshi. Amidst the sustained hot sales of the ES8, NIO has already laid the groundwork for its 2026 product lineup. The company is expected to hold a technical launch event for the new model around April 10th, with a market launch planned for the second quarter. According to the company’s plan, NIO aims to achieve full-year profitability in 2026 by targeting a sales growth rate of 40%-50%. The delivery of the 60,000th all-new ES8 marks the beginning of NIO’s product offensive for 2026.
