NIO had a decent sales month in September, rising 4.4% month over month and rising 7.7% year over year with 37,408 vehicle deliveries. That’s all fine and well, but the much bigger, brighter number is when you look at how things add up across the first three quarters of the year. In the third quarter, sales rose 25%, from 87,071 in Q3 2025 to 109,178 in Q3 2026. Even further, in the first three quarters of the year, sales rose from 201,221 vehicle deliveries in 2025 to 300,301 vehicle deliveries in 2026. That’s huge, dramatic growth of 49% year over year. Back to September, this is how the numbers broke out by brand: NIO — 21,318 ONVO — 8,763 FIREFLY — 7,327 NIO’s cumulative vehicle deliveries reached 1,297,893 by the end of the third quarter. NIO has some other highlights to share at the end of the quarter with us as well: “On September 20, 2026, the first anniversary of its launch, the NIO All-New ES8 reached its 150,000th delivery milestone, ranking first in cumulative sales among large SUVs and vehicles priced above RMB400,000 during the first year. On September 23, 2026, the NIO ES9 reached its 30,000th delivery milestone since deliveries began on May 28, 2026, ranking first in monthly sales among battery electric vehicles priced above RMB500,000 for three consecutive months. The strong performance of the All-New ES8 and ES9 further strengthens NIO’s position in the premium electric SUV market, supported by its flagship products, full-cycle service offerings and charging and battery-swapping infrastructure.”
