In a particularly early introduction of the 2027 model year, Mini has announced the Mini Countryman lineup in the US as of March 2026. The headline, at least as far as Mini is concerned, is the return of the "value driven" Oxford edition, and it kicks off the 2027 model year as the base model at $34,900, plus $1,350 destination and handling. According to Mini, the Oxford Edition is based on the Mini Countryman S ALL4 ($38,900) with most of its features "along with select premium features and design elements at no additional cost." Old School Value Selling Style MiniWhat we know of the Oxford Edition so far is that it will come with a Vescin/Cloth Grey/Blue combination, an anthracite headliner, and privacy glass, the latter of which Mini is keen to point out is a $500 value. In fact, Mini points out that a few new features across its range are of particular value, like the trailer hitch and space-saver spare being "a $1,000 value" for the Countryman S ALL4. But the trailer hitch only for the Countryman SE ALL4 is "a $700 value."For the Oxford Edition this year, there's a "curated" accessory package available through the Mini Port Installation Program for an extra $720, and includes the Mini Heritage Bonnet (hood) graphic, a set of Mini Heritage mirror caps with Union Jack design, and a Mini Wing Black Jack license plate frame and valve stem caps. The program simply means accessories are installed at the port during the vehicle’s final preparation stage, rather than at a dealership later. Also added this year, is a universal garage door opener for the Signature Plus and Iconic Trim packages, but it costs $250 as a standalone option. The garage door opener works through a button integrated into the interior mirror, which sounds suspiciously like the option is a software unlock. A Big Deal With Small Updates MiniOther than what's been outlined so far, the Mini Countryman SE ALL4 electric has a new "Seal & Drive Tire Kit." It's a temporary repair kit in lieu of a spare tire, that attaches magnetically to the wheel and uses a combination of air and sealant to seal the leak while driving slowly. It replaces the previous Mobility Kit as a way to get the car to a service center for permanent repair or tire replacement. The Mini Countryman lineup still starting at $34,900 is a big deal in this current economy, but admittedly, little has changed this year. For that matter, the $1,350 destination charge is still on the low side amid some US automakers hedging towards $3,000 to deliver a vehicle built in the US. The 2027 Mini lineup should be reaching dealerships now.
