Image Credit: @kmaauto1/TikTokA man has claimed that, while out driving in his Toyota Sienna, a small object made a banging noise under his Toyota on the highway before it then completely shut the car down, leading to a significant repair bill. The video came from Josh Hall (@kmaauto1), manager of KMA Auto on TikTok. Hall had been out for a drive in the Toyota when he heard a small thud from underneath, which, while concerning, didn't set off any immediate alarm bells for him. Yet he soon found himself stuck at the side of the road.As the video shows, Hall suddenly realized that every warning light under the sun was on in the car. The Sienna said the engine was overheating, all of its systems were unavailable, and he couldn't get the Toyota to move any further.AdvertisementAdvertisementAs it transpired, it was a small puncture that led to the vastness of problems that the Toyota experienced. Hall shared his situation with his followers, hoping to show them that even the smallest problem with a car can lead to a big repair bill, which is exactly what he had to deal with. What Actually Happened to the Toyota Sienna?Hall was driving along normally when he suddenly heard a thud from underneath the Toyota. After the thud, Hall pulled over so he could take a look at the Toyota and try to find whatever was wrong, initially suspecting a puncture. He looked outside but found nothing wrong with the car, so he assumed that whatever it was, it hadn't affected the car. However, it was when he tried to pull away that things became confusing. Every warning light imaginable had lit up inside the Toyota. "Every warning light that the car has is on. It's saying that all of our systems are unavailable. It's saying that our hybrid system is unavailable. It's saying that the engine is overheating. It was crazy," said Hall in his video. So he had to get out and have another look at the Sienna. He saw that there was a small hole in the felt-like shield underneath the car, and Hall said the hole was roughly the size of a .22 bullet. It was clear that this was part of the reason that the car had failed. It was then that he put his hand through the hole, and he felt wires hanging down all over the place. It was clear that whatever had struck the Toyota minivan had done some damage.Further Investigations Led to the Expensive Repair BillImage Credit: @kmaauto1/TikTokThe Sienna was towed to a nearby Toyota dealership, which found that something had pierced the underbody covering. That then shattered a wiring harness and damaged another. This led to the circuit between the front and rear of the van being cut. Neither the dealership nor Hall could actually identify what had gone wrong with the Toyota, as they couldn't explain what had hit it.AdvertisementAdvertisementIn the end, the incident led to a hefty repair bill. In fact, Hall said that it was over $7,000 for him to fix his Toyota. "The fix for this is over $7,000 because they have to gut the entire car, they have to replace sensors, they have to replace the wiring and the wiring harness. Absolutely insane," he said in his video. That is galling for anyone to have to deal with, especially when the incident itself was clearly so minor. If you want more stories like this, follow Guessing Headlights on Yahoo so you don't miss what's coming next.
