Image Credit: @spottingcars.uk/InstagramThe chance of spotting one of the best supercars of the modern era out and about in a capital city doesn't come around often. But if you head to London, you might see one, and you may get to see a Ferrari F80 cruising around its streets.Well, one lucky Instagram user was able to spot one of them as the capital city of the United Kingdom welcomed the first Ferrari F80 to grace its streets. The car is owned by Brandon Bailey, a motoring and racing driver and enthusiast, and one of a lucky few able to afford such a machine. The F80 is the latest hypercar built by Ferrari, with just 799 units planned in total. It is the successor to the LaFerrari and is the company's flagship vehicle. It has only been in production for a year, so its debut in London is a special occasion.AdvertisementAdvertisementIt is another hybrid machine as well, thanks to two electric motors boosting power to well over 1,000hp. Instagram account @spottingcars.uk was able to get a closer look at the hypercar as it was seen parked outside the luxury Connaught hotel in Mayfair, London. This Ferrari F80 Looked Particularly StrikingWhile the F80 isn't exactly a subtle performance car, this particular one looked even more striking than usual. It, of course, has the black strip running across the front of the car, a feature that has become a staple of the F80 since its introduction. The trip gives the front of the Ferrari a very aggressive stance. The stunning dual-tone color combination dominates the car, with the red and black looking magnificent under the London sunshine. The owner of this F80 has a blacked-out roof, alloy wheels, and aerodynamic components at the front and the rear. The side skirts have also been blacked out, as has the huge wing at the back of the hypercar. A look at the back also shows off the massive diffuser, which keeps the Ferrari glued to the tarmac. It is quite a surreal sight seeing this amazing modern hypercar mixed in with the old buildings of London that surround it. Yet that just adds to what is almost a picture-perfect scene. The Connaught is also one of the most luxurious hotels in the city, so it makes sense for the hypercar to be parked outside such a prestigious location. The real home of this car, however, is the racetrack, and that is highlighted by the glorious power under the hood.Few Cars Can Rival the F80's Power OutputImage Credit: @spottingcars.uk/InstagramUnder the hood of the Ferrari F80 is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, backed up by three electric motors. The motors in the car provide 296hp while the engine itself makes 888hp. In total, the F80 makes a staggering 1,184hp, giving the car a top speed of 217mph. It is fast off the start line as well, able to accelerate from 0- 62 mph in just 2.15 seconds. That is as fast as some high-performance EVs are off the line.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe owner of the London F80 will certainly have had deep pockets. When Ferrari launched the car, it planned to make just 799 units, and production is expected to end in 2027. Each has already been reserved by a customer for $3.9 million each. So if you did want to get one of them and somehow had the money, then you are all out of luck.If you want more stories like this, follow Guessing Headlights on Yahoo so you don't miss what's coming next.
