Two Lamborghinis at Two Different Car ShowsLamborghiniThe fabulous Fenomeno Roadster bowed last weekend at Tegernsee.A mighty Miura Meetup will mingle at Pebble Beach's third fairway on Concours Sunday. And a very cool new app lets you see inside structures and aerodynamics of any current Lamborghini. It's a Lamborghini supercar summer!Last weekend we saw three Lamborghini hybrids at the Concours of Elegance Germany on the shores of Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria, lead by the debut of the fabulous Fenomeno Roadster. That car bowed amidst an "exceptional display" of Lamborghini's iconic V12 heritage and latest hybrid models.AdvertisementAdvertisementLet's look at that one first. The Fenomeno Roadster is "the latest expression of Automobili Lamborghini's Few-Off philosophy, the open-top masterpiece is limited to only 15 vehicles worldwide, with few examples sold in the German market."Fenomeno Roadster bows.LamborghiniIt's powered by a 1,065-hp V12 hybrid powertrain, making it the most powerful open-top Lamborghini ever built, Lambo says. It can accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 2.4 seconds, reaching 124 mph in 6.8 seconds, and achieving a top speed of over 211 mph.The Fenomeno Roadster was joined at Tegernsee by the Temerario and the Urus SE, offering a glimpse into Lamborghini's latest hybrid-powered lineup."Together, they showcased the company's vision for high-performance electrification, combining exceptional performance with advanced hybrid technology while continuing Lamborghini's unmistakable driving experience," Lamborghini said.Lamborghini Temerario.LamborghiniThe Temerario redefines the concept of the super sports car with a new generation of hybrid technology, Lamborghini says. At its core lies an all-new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors, the latter which get power from a 3.8-kWh lithium-ion battery delivering a total output of over 907 hp and enabling engine speeds up to 10,000 rpm—an unprecedented benchmark in its segment.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe Urus SE, meanwhile, "establishes a new reference point in the Super SUV segment, combining Lamborghini's signature performance with advanced hybrid technology." It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with a single electric motor and a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering a total output of 789 hp and 701 lb-ft of torque.Lamborghini Sian.LamborghiniFrom the display at Tegernsee it appears that Lamborghini has sidelined its flirtation with Ultra-High-Capacitors for energy storage in favor of more traditional battery packs. We saw a few examples of ultra- or supercapacitors in Lambos past, starting with the Terzo Millenio concept car in 2017 and the Sian FKP 37 in 2019. Before that, Lamborghini had a supercapacitor-based start-stop system for the V12-powered Aventador in 2012. The supercapacitor system in the Aventador could restart the V12 in just 180 milliseconds, less than two tenths of a second. It also saved 6.6 pounds.Miura meetup at Monterey.Kimball StudiosThat was all Lambo last weekend. Next month you can go further back into the past and see more Lamborghini Miuras than you can shake a crankshaft at, when the supercar progenitors descend on Pebble Beach's third fairway for the 60th anniversary of the fabled model, credited as the world's first supercar.Organizers expect the Miura meet to set a new world record as the most-ever Miuras in one spot, surpassing previous celebrations of the Miura's 40th and 50th anniversaries.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe Miura display will be open to the public on Sunday, August 16, on Pebble's third fairway, the one you drive by on Palermo Road driving west toward the Lodge."It will provide guests with an unparalleled opportunity to explore the evolution, preservation and enduring legacy of Lamborghini's most iconic masterpiece," Lambo promises.Do you have a Miura and want to participate? Don't hang up! This is interesting!AdvertisementAdvertisement"The new spatial computing app redefines how enthusiasts and collectors connect with the Italian icon, transforming the legendary craftsmanship of a super sports car brand into an immersive digital journey," Lamborghini said.See inside your Lamborghini with the new Lamborghini app. As long as you have Apple Vision Pro, anyone can download and use it.LamborghiniThe native app for Apple Vision Pro, a virtual reality headset that supports augmented reality, can now feature the entire current model range of Automobili Lamborghini and allows enthusiasts to "go beneath the carbon fiber skin and discover the technical soul of Lamborghini's most coveted models."That sounds kind of cool. If you can't afford to own a Lambo, you can explore them all through virtual reality instead."Each model is presented as a masterpiece to explore in full detail, from its exterior design and Centro Stile language to its structural architecture, aerodynamics, and hybrid powertrain. Step inside the car and experience the interior with an incredible level of detail and immersion, from the stitching of the seats to every element of the cockpit.
