2027 will mark four years since the Lamborghini Revuelto was unveiled, and that means it's nearly time for a mid-cycle facelift. The Autoblog spies have captured a development mule previewing the updated supercar, and while it at first appears as if there are almost no cosmetic changes, a closer look reveals that the Y-shaped LED daytime running lights on the bumper are actually decals, which means Lamborghini is trying to hide some alterations elsewhere, too. In fact, both the front and rear fascias are being restyled to make the supercar more aggressive. And with the Revuelto SV already revealed, these changes lay the foundations for an SVJ model later down the line.2028 Lamborghini Revuelto Getting Angrier LooksAutoblog/SH ProshotsLosing the Y-shaped DRLs may make the Revuelto look more like the smaller, less powerful Temerario, but the entire fascia is being made more menacing, with additional strakes added to the lower side intakes, which appear to be less hexagonal than before. The central opening has also been widened and has lost the central support of the current Revuelto, increasing the impression of width and making the front end look even lower and sleeker. As a facelift, the hood and side profiles are being left mostly alone, but the biggest side intake has gained a horizontal strake, something repeated by the fin behind each front wheel. Interestingly, the intake on the car's shoulder is new, apparently replacing the flying buttress of the current model. At the back, the engine cover seems to be unchanged, but most of the rear fascia has become wilder, with the diffuser dropping two vertical strakes on either side of the license plate in favor of a triple-element design that not only opens the panel up but also moves the plate holder a little higher. Either side of this are three vertical elements that join with additional vanes leading from behind the rear tires. There's also a new vent below each taillight, and the deployable wing now protrudes further from the exhaust pipes. All of this indicates that either Lamborghini is heavily revising the styling of the facelift, it's working on a hotter variant, or both.Autoblog's TakeAutoblog/SH ProshotsSince the Lamborghini Revuelto SV has 1,050 horsepower, and since this prototype isn't as extreme yet is certainly more aggressive than the regular, 1,001-hp Revuelto, we suspect this is a Revuelto S. Essentially, it is a facelift, but Lamborghini will market it as a new model. The original Urus was effectively replaced by the more powerful, plug-in hybrid Urus SE, and something similar will probably happen here – more power under a new name. But don't expect it to happen soon. Lamborghini is still accepting orders for the current Revuelto, and this update is only expected to debut roughly a year from now, if not early in 2028.Autoblog/SH Proshots
