Firefly’s official launch in April 2025, the brand reached the milestone of delivering 40,000 new vehicles on January 10 this year, taking only about nine months. Today, Firefly has joined forces with Dutch artist Jordy van den Nieuwendijk to launch a limited edition model called “Pegasus Rhapsody.” The new edition is limited to 99 units, with prices starting at RMB 135,800(~$19,500) or just RMB 95,800(~$13700) with the BaaS (Battery as a Service) plan. Deliveries will officially commence on January 18. The core specifications of the new edition remain consistent with the regular version, with the main differences being exclusive exterior and interior designs. The “Pegasus Rhapsody” limited edition features a white body as its base, adorned with extensive colorful stripes and hand-painted graphics. The winged pegasus serves as the core visual element. At the rear of the vehicle, there is also a firework pattern centered around the brand logo, giving it a very playful character. Additionally, the vehicle bears the artist Jordy’s signature emblem and comes with exclusive NFC card keys. Combined with the daytime white rally-style alloy wheels, it is highly distinctive. The interior adopts a beige theme paired with suede materials, creating a warm and pure style. Furthermore, the soft pillows, lumbar support set, and custom carpet all feature embroidered patterns that echo the exterior theme, with every detail exuding refinement. The “Pegasus Rhapsody” limited edition marks the third limited edition model launched by Firefly. Previously, Firefly had also released the Nomad Maillard Edition and Nocturnal Creature Edition, both employing a limited sales strategy, with each edition featuring a unique thematic positioning. Among them, the Nocturnal Creature Edition also received specialized optimization for the driving experience, introducing the g-force gravitational handling package. The specially crafted red high-damping coil springs have a stiffness 5.3% higher than the standard version and are equipped with an exclusive G-value ambient ring. Nocturnal Creature Edition Data shows that since Firefly’s official launch in April 2025, the brand reached the milestone of delivering 40,000 new vehicles on January 10 this year, taking about nine months. 2026 is a crucial year for Firefly’s global expansion. According to plans, NIO Group intends to enter a cumulative total of 40 countries and regional markets this year, with Firefly serving as the vanguard of NIO Group’s overseas expansion, leading the charge. Currently, the right-hand drive version of the Firefly has been officially launched in the Singapore market and is planned to enter the Thai market in March this year. ONVO L60 “MaDao Cheng Gong”Limited Edition It is worth noting that alongside Firefly’s Horse Year thematic edition model, the ONVO L60 model from NIO’s second brand—ONVO—has also been announced. The official preview states that the “Ma Dao Cheng Gong” limited edition of this model will officially launch and begin deliveries on January 16. The name is a wordplay. It’s both a traditional blessing meaning “instant success,” and a nod to the upcoming Year of the Horse in the 2026 Chinese lunar calendar, giving it a festive touch. Like other limited editions, the focus is on interior and details rather than major hardware changes. The cabin features a brown-and-ivory two-tone scheme, with horse-themed embroidery and logos on the headrests and door sills. The infotainment system also gets exclusive wallpapers to set it apart. As for hardware, it’s likely to come standard with larger wheels and rear tray tables. Pricing should be slightly lower than configuring the same options individually.
