GAC Toyota aims to increase NEV sales share to over 20% in 2026. GAC Toyota officially announced the pre-sale of its all-new flagship pure electric sedan, the bZ7. The new model is available in five trim levels, with a pre-sale price range of 179,800–239,800 RMB, and a limited-time pre-sale discount price starting as low as 156,800 RMB. In addition to three basic benefits, combined with the limited-time option fund, the original dual-chamber air suspension can now be added to the 700 Max and 700 Max LiDAR versions for just 5,000 RMB. bZ7 limited-time pre-sale starts at 156,800 RMB Described as the “Toyota model with the highest Huawei content,” the bZ7 not only features the Huawei HarmonyOS Space 5.0 and Huawei DriveONE electric drive system, but also comes equipped with Momenta R6 advanced intelligent driving and the rare intelligent preview dual-chamber air suspension, pushing the configuration of joint-venture new energy vehicles to new heights. As the flagship sedan of the bZ series, the bZ7 offers impressive dimensions. The new model measures 5,130 × 1,965 × 1,506 mm (L × W × H), with a wheelbase of 3,020 mm, meeting D-class sedan standards. The sleek fastback design, combined with a drag coefficient of 0.21 Cd and 20-inch multi-spoke wheels, delivers a visual effect reminiscent of a “grand touring coupe.” bZ7 features HarmonyOS Space 5 Intelligent technology is the primary highlight of the new model. The bZ7 integrates both the Huawei HarmonyOS Space and Momenta intelligent driving in one package. First, the HarmonyOS Space 5 features the MoLA hybrid large-model Agent architecture, supporting multi-zone continuous voice dialogue and “long-term memory + proactive service,” resulting in smoother human-machine interaction. bZ7 equipped with Momenta R6 For intelligent driving, the vehicle is equipped with the Momenta R6 reinforcement learning large model, featuring 360-degree perception with 27 sensors, supporting Urban NDA, Highway NDA pilot assist, and full-scenario automatic parking. Other intelligent configurations are on par with emerging brand models: the front seats feature dual-motor zero-gravity seats, with ventilation, heating, and massage functions available for both front and rear passengers. Some trims also include a Yamaha 23-speaker sound system, rear tray tables, and an in-car refrigerator. bZ7 powered by Huawei DriveONE multi-in-one electric drive system In terms of power, the bZ7 is equipped with the Huawei DriveONE multi-in-one electric drive system, delivering a peak power of 207 kW. The battery uses a lithium iron phosphate solution, available in two capacities of 71.35 kWh and 88.13 kWh, offering a maximum CLTC range of 710 km. It also supports 3C fast charging, allowing 300 km of range to be added in just 10 minutes. Chassis configuration represents the most significant differentiating advantage of the bZ7. The Max trim offers an optional dual-chamber air suspension with SDC intelligent variable damping shock absorbers featuring “intelligent preview” functionality. Through a front-facing camera, the system pre-identifies road conditions and actively adjusts suspension stiffness and vehicle height. Huawei DriveONE multi-in-one electric drive system At the launch event, GAC Toyota announced it will continue its “Three Responsibilities by the Manufacturer” policy, directly assuming responsibility for battery fires, battery degradation, and intelligent parking accidents. Combined with its configuration and the discounted price starting at 156,800 RMB, the bZ7 directly enters the competitive arena of the BYD Han EV, XPeng P7+, and even the Xiaomi SU7. According to product planning, the bZ7 is a key component of GAC Toyota’s 2026 electrification strategy. The company aims to increase the sales share of new energy vehicles to over 20%, forming a complete pure electric product matrix ranging from A+ class SUVs to mid-to-large sedans.
