There are few companies that have changed their logo as often as Chrysler, but the historic brand – once among the biggest and most important in the US – doesn’t appear ready to settle down. In fact, it has just introduced a new logo on its refreshed 2027 Chrysler Pacifica, which is on display this week at the New York Auto Show and destined to be the only new vehicle in Chrysler showrooms when it starts deliveries this summer.New Chrysler Logo The simplified logo, essentially created with just two pen strokes, is a somewhat abstract take on Chrysler’s traditional winged emblem, but this isn't an April Fools' prank. It follows a broader industry trend toward flatter, cleaner designs, which tend to work better in digital media, where logos need to pop instantly to stand out as users scroll endlessly past. Chrysler Wings Reimagined, Not Clipped Chrysler Chrysler celebrated its centennial in 2025, and with a history that long, it’s natural that its logo would evolve over time. One element has endured, though: the wings. On Chrysler’s original logo, appearing on the debut Chrysler Six unveiled in 1924, the wings were attached to a ribbon with a wax seal, representing the brand’s quality seal of approval. The wings themselves referenced the winged sandals of the Roman god Mercury, a symbol of speed. The new logo, first shown in 2022 on the Chrysler Airflow Concept and again on 2024’s Chrysler Halcyon Concept, retains Chrysler’s heritage while evolving it for the next century. The brand says it wanted to blend its past with a forward-looking vision of the future.Chrysler In some cases, the logo will appear with a stylized "CHRYSLER" script, and on the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica, and potentially other models, it will feature LED backlighting. It will also be part of welcome and goodbye lighting displays on the Pacifica’s premium Limited and Pinnacle trims, where, together with the headlights, a coordinated animation greets the driver or marks the end of a drive. Only One Model, For Now Chrysler As mentioned in the opening, the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica will soon be the only new vehicle in Chrysler showrooms. The brand's only other vehicle at present, the Chrysler Voyager, essentially a pre-facelifted version of the current Pacifica serving as an entry-level model, bows out after 2026. From 2027, Chrysler will offer a revived Pacifica LX trim as the new entry point to the brand. It's confirmed to have a starting price of $41,495, or just $100 more than the 2026 Voyager it effectively replaces. It means we'll only see Chrysler's new logo on one vehicle, but that situation is expected to change, eventually. Chrysler in March welcomed a new CEO in Matt McAlear, who continues to lead Dodge while taking the helm at Chrysler. He has yet to outline his vision for the brand, but his predecessor, Chris Feuell, had confirmed plans for new models as recently as a year ago.Chrysler Those included a sedan-inspired model drawn from the sleek Halcyon Concept and a large SUV, likely featuring third-row seating. Chrysler had also signaled plans for an electric Pacifica. However, with ongoing leadership changes at Chrysler's Stellantis parent company following Antonio Filosa’s ascension to CEO last year, these projects could be reworked, much like the sudden cancellation of an electric midsize SUV based on the Airflow Concept in 2025.
