Its prices will be revealed in June, with deliveries scheduled for the fall of 2026. The new Dolphin G DM-i has a combined range of 1,000 km. The new BYD Dolphin G DM-i adopts a unique design language with thin headlights, an active air intake, and two airflows in the front bumper. Other features of this hatchback include blackened rims, semi-hidden door handles, and darkened D-pillars that create a floating roof effect. The car has a surround-view camera system complemented by front and rear parking sensors. The new Dolphin G DM-i is finished in orange. Its body length reaches 4,160 mm, while the width is 1,825 mm. For clarity, it is 130 mm shorter and 55 mm wider than the European variant of the Dolphin BEV. It has a black interior with a floating touchscreen in the dashboard and “G” emblems on headrests. The BYD Dolphin G DM-i There is no information about the powertrain of the BYD Dolphin G DM-i. There is a high chance it will stay close to the BYD Atto 2 DM-i (Yuan Up DM-i) launched in foreign markets. It offers a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a peak power output of 72 kW (97 hp) and an electric motor for 145 kW (194 hp). Two LFP battery variants are available for the Atto 2 DM-i with capacity variants of 7.8 kWh and 18 kWh. The combined peak power output is 156 kW (209 hp). The car’s electric range lies between 40 and 90 km under WLTP conditions. It was officially disclosed that the combined range of the BYD Dolphin G DM-i reaches 1,000 km. More information about the Dolphin G DM-i will be disclosed during the launch ceremony scheduled for June 2026. The first batch of cars will be handed over to customers this fall. BYD is actively developing in foreign markets. According to China EV DataTracker, BYD delivered 149,606 units domestically, down 38.5% Year-Over-Year. However, its global sales (with exports included) reached 314,100 cars, down 15,7% Y-O-Y.
