South Korea marks Apollo Go’s first expansion into Asia outside mainland China and Hong Kong. According to Baidu’s 2025 annual results released yesterday, as of February 2026 its autonomous ride-hailing platform Apollo Go has provided more than 20 million rides globally, with operations spanning 26 cities. South Korea has become its latest market, with initial deployment in the Seoul metropolitan area. This marks Apollo Go’s first expansion into Asia outside mainland China and Hong Kong. Applo Go’s Robotaxi in service Financial disclosures show that in the fourth quarter of 2025, Apollo Go completed 3.4 million fully unmanned autonomous driving orders, representing year-on-year growth of more than 200%. During the quarter, peak weekly orders exceeded 300,000. In terms of operational scale, Apollo Go’s cumulative autonomous driving mileage has surpassed 300 million kilometers, including more than 190 million kilometers driven in fully unmanned mode. Beyond South Korea, Apollo Go is expanding its testing scope in Hong Kong, its first right-hand-drive market. The Hong Kong Transport Department has approved passenger-carrying trials on designated roads and initiated cross-district testing. Applo Go’s sixth-gen Robotaxi In Europe, Apollo Go is advancing strategic partnerships with Uber and Lyft, with plans to launch an autonomous vehicle pilot program in London in the first half of 2026. Through a strategic partnership with PostBus, a subsidiary of Swiss Post, Apollo Go has commenced testing in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland, introducing a customized autonomous mobility service branded AmiGo. In the Middle East, Apollo Go partnered with AutoGo in January to officially launch fully autonomous ride-hailing services in Abu Dhabi, and has obtained Dubai’s first permit for fully unmanned testing. In early February, Apollo Go announced a partnership with Uber to introduce Robotaxi services on the Uber platform in Dubai in the first quarter of 2026. Users will be able to access its sixth-generation autonomous taxis in designated areas including Jumeirah. Financial results of Baidu in 2025 From a financial perspective, Baidu’s AI segment, which includes autonomous driving, is emerging as a key growth engine. In 2025, AI-related revenue reached RMB 40 billion ($5.85 billion), up 48% year on year. Fourth-quarter AI revenue rose 71% to RMB 11.3 billion ($1.65 billion), accounting for 43% of Baidu Core revenue.
