A pair of Lamborghinis was involved in a serious accident in Texas. The Aventador S caught fire, and the Revuelto suffered serious damage. No one was injured, but both vehicles will most likely be written off. The odds of seeing one Lamborghini flagship on a given day in suburban Texas are slim. The odds of seeing two of them in a wreck, at the same intersection, on the same Monday, belong in a different actuarial table altogether. Yet here we are. Photos from the scene show a light blue Aventador S burned down to its bones and a purple Revuelto with serious front-end damage parked nearby. The Cy-Fair Fire Department reports that when crews arrived, “they found two Lamborghinis involved in an accident, with one on fire”. Whether the two cars actually struck each other is not clear from the available information at this time. The crash happened at the intersection of the Texas State Highway 99 feeder road and Jack Road, in the Cypress area outside Houston. Both drivers walked away. No injuries were reported, which is the only piece of good news in this story. The Aventador S came off worst by some margin, with most of its bodywork burnt to a crisp. Fire crews had to cut the hood open, and the only parts left worth salvaging are the front bumper and the headlights. Cy-Fair Fire Department / Facebook The other victim of the accident was a modified Revuelto. This particular example wears a color-shifting purple finish and rides on a custom set of forged alloy wheels. From certain angles, the supercar looks more or less intact, but a single photo of the front end tells another story. Almost the entire nose is gone, and the left front wheel and suspension arm have been driven back into the cabin. The shop has not addressed the crash on social media yet, but it did announce the purchase of a very similar vehicle in an Instagram post 16 weeks ago. Cy-Fair Fire Department / Facebook Putting a number on the damage is a sobering exercise. A used Aventador S currently trades between $420,000 and $500,000 in the US. A Revuelto sits closer to $600,000 to $700,000. Add the two, leave the aftermarket spend out of it for now, and the combined loss clears a million dollars without breaking a sweat. There is no word on what caused the crash as authorities arrived at the scene when the Aventador was already on fire. Some commenters claim they spotted the Lamborghini duo on the highway alongside a red pickup that was filming or photographing them. In any case, the good thing is that drivers lived to tell the story.
