Some folks simply don't want an electric vehicle and would prefer to stick with a combustion engine in their car. Lexus knows these people exist and is now providing full details about the 2026 ES 350h hybrid. It offers customers an alternative to the fully electric trims of the new eighth-generation ES, and buyers can choose between front- and all-wheel drive configurations. Here's what you need to know about it.The ES 350h rides on the same multi-pathway vehicle platform as the electric 350e and 500e trims, and it looks like them, too, with styling taking cues from the Lexus LF-ZC concept. To differentiate this model from the others, the hybrid has a revised front bumper with a narrow upper intake and a fuel door on the driver’s side rear quarter panel. The latest generation of the luxury sedan adopts a chiseled shape than the previous iterations, with a more sculpted appearance. An L-shaped trim element along the flanks adds a striking flourish to the exterior. The New Lexus Hybrid LexusCompared with the outgoing ES, the new hybrid model has a 3.1-inch longer wheelbase, a 2.2-inch increase in width, 6.5 inches more overall length, and an extra 4.5 inches in height. The larger physical footprint allows for a larger cabin and revised hip points, making it easier to get into and out of the sedan. The sedan comes standard with 19-inch 10-spoke wheels with aerodynamic covers. Two new colors are available: Wavelength and Copper Crest. The exterior shades also include Caviar, Ultra White, Cloudburst Gray, and Iridium.LexusThe 2026 ES 350h uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric starter-generator and a motor-generator, integrated with an electronically controlled continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). A revised exhaust suppresses engine vibrations. Plus, there's Active Noise Control in the cabin to suppress the sound of the powertrain. Laminated side window glass also helps keep things quiet.LexusInside, the ES 350h comes with the same layout as the EVs.
