Section 1Subaru is continuing its push into the electric vehicle space with the debut of its fourth EV, a three-row SUV called the Getaway. Set to arrive later this year, the new model expands the brand’s lineup into the family-focused midsize segment with a blend of performance, practicality, and all-weather capability. Every Getaway comes equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, delivering a combined 420 horsepower. Subaru says that’s enough to launch the SUV from 0 to 60 mph in under five seconds. It offers 8.3 inches of ground clearance and a 3,500-pound towing capacity, giving it a bit more versatility than many electric family haulers. At launch, Subaru will offer the Getaway with a 95.8-kWh battery pack, targeting over 300 miles of driving range. DC fast-charging capability is rated at up to 150 kW, allowing the battery to recharge from 10 to 80 percent in about 30 minutes under ideal conditions. Become an AutoGuide insider.
