2026 rivian r1t interior review missing the buttons otherwise elite The 2026 Rivian R1T has a premium interior that is on the level of a high-end Volvo. Close your eyes, open them and look around. Is this a truck or a Scandinavian luxury car? The vibes are elite. The downside? No knobs or buttons. Sure, it's a cliche to harp on that, but just a few of them would elevate this experience and make it more user friendly. I tested the R1T for a week, and I enjoyed my time in the cabin. This one, which stickers for a lofty price of $123,885, is a luxury setting in every sense, offering a walnut wood interior, Rivian's dynamic glass roof, a silky audio system and perforated vegan leather seats. I've never felt more proper in a Patagonia vest. The 15.6-inch touchscreen is mostly easy to use. The navigation is simple, and I configured my drive modes easily via the push of a button. Same with cuing up seat heaters. The only downside here is the audio controls are dense, and that's where you need a button or two, as I found myself diving through a couple of screens to change the radio and adjust the volume. It just takes too much time to do something that should take no time at all, and it's distracting. Otherwise, the R1T's interior is one of the nicest interiors I have ever found myself in and reinforces the case for Rivian as a premium EV maker.
