CFMOTO does not only sell motorcycles but they are approaching the market with a holistic approach. We saw their extensive range of lifestyle products firsthand when we visited their headquarters in China back in November. They had also began their own adventure rider skill series, called the CFMOTO MT CHALLENGE which kicked off in 2025. The series continues this year, and the series will switch from the CFMOTO 800MT-X used last year to the CFMOTO 1000MT-X in 2026. It is not just a localised competition, as more than 70 riders from some 20 nations took part in 2025. FROM CFMOTO The clock is ticking on the second edition of the CFMOTO MT CHALLENGE as skilled riders from more than 20 countries will compete in a series of regional eliminators over the coming months. The successful competitors will then be able to zero their targets on Huelva, Spain, as the destination for this year’s global final and a truly spectacular motorcycling show! The inaugural CFMOTO MT CHALLENGE in 2025 was a massive hit and drew more than 70 capable bikers from almost 20 nations to tackle the natural topography of Australia’s Yarra Valley Estate. The participants put CFMOTO 800MT-X models through their paces for a series of tests and trials. A quick guide to the CFMOTO MT CHALLENGE WHAT: Regional and national CFMOTO distributors are publishing details about their respective contests through social media channels and media outlets in the search for the best riders for the 2026 event. All roads, trails and tests will lead to La Palma Delcondado in Huelva, Spain, a country renowned around the world for its love of biking and motorcycle sport – where a ‘Venue Challenge’ (tasks involving control, balance and precision at the Monteblanco Circuit) and ‘Adventure Challenge’ (a circular route with checkpoints and riding demands) will see points awarded for acumen and daring! HOW: The global final will bring together a group of more than 80 qualified riders for the two-day decider. For 2026 CFMOTO has decided that the technical specs of the 1000 MT-X will be the perfect foil for competition: the excellent low torque output as well as high-rev performance, agility and rigorous build quality are standout attributes. WHY: MT riding is about adventure, open-mindedness to the elements, terrain and conditions as well as camaraderie, fun and exhilaration. Varying ages, abilities and genders gathered in the southern hemisphere in 2025 and now the stage is reset. Who will rise to claim the crown in 2026? WHEN: The CFMOTO MT CHALLENGE 2026 is running now! Qualifiers will whittle the entrants into a final list and the last push for prizes will happen from September 26-28. Huelva’s combination of grasslands, forest trails, gravel roads, shallow hills and more will be the ideal playground. Even CFMOTO brand ambassador Mario Román Serrano will also be on hand to support the event. He will not only play a key role in shaping the challenge and route design, lending his professional insight to the competition, but also join MT riders from around the world in embracing the riding culture and creating distinctive adventure memories together. WHAT NEXT: Updates and highlights of the multi-cultural journey to the CFMOTO MT CHALLENGE Global Final 2026 will come soon, so keep a lookout on CFMOTO channels for details for the rush to Spain.
