'Wicked Deal:' Man Says Corvette C8 Currently Costs Less Than a Toyota Sienna. And You Can Save $3,000 More as a Costco Member

It looks like the future. Or maybe it looks like the future just roared up. And yet this borderline supercar currently costs less than a minivan. 

As much as people love the workhorse that is the Toyota Sienna, most probably don’t think it’d ever compete pricewise with one of America’s most iconic cars. That’s what Christopher Pearce (@thechristopherpearce) says 

In a TikTok video that's been liked over 66,000 times, Pearce says that Corvette C8s are “rotting in lots” nationwide. And Chevy is so ready to offload them that the prices are falling down.

According to Pearce, “Chevy is getting pretty desperate with this Corvette. The C8 market is turning upside down.” 

And trouble for Chevy means opportunity for buyers. “A few years ago people were fighting to get a chance to pay over MSRP for this car,” asserts Pearce. “Now, there are literally thousands of brand-new models rotting on dealership lots.” 

According to his research, there are 5,500 unsold C8s sitting on dealer lots across  the U.S. “And that means those dealers will give it to you for some pretty ridiculous discounts,” he says, as a screencap showing 10 new 2025 Corvettes hovers above his head. He says that there’s also a deal where Costco members can get an extra $3,000 off.

Look closely, and on one the price actually says $63,185. Which is in fact less than the fully loaded platinum Toyota Sienna, which goes for about $65,000 if you build it on their site. 

Make Corvette Great Again?

The comments on this car vary wildly. There’s @dylanoftheben proudly posting a photo of the little red Corvette he says he got for $53,500. 

While @2m4er thinks it’s a Boomer dream, quipping, “Great car; for your grandparents.” 

Still others think the price is going to go even lower. “Hold out for 30k,” says @TrPickz. And some folks are all set to wait. 

“Playing the long game bro let’s do this,” says @user086537888 (Bryan). 

People on Reddit back up what Pearce says: that the lowest approximate price is currently hovering around $63,000 for a 2025 Stingray. 

Over on Corvette Forum, those dedicated aficionados seem a little confused. There was some back and forth about price increases, fees, and seating. A user called Lonwaldo quasi-settled it, posting, “The base price for 2025 has always been $68,300. It was when I purchased mine.”

So What Is Happening? 

The C8 has been getting fantastic reviews. There seems to be consensus that the mid-engine is an improvement, as is the “fighter-jet-inspired” cockpit.

According to GM Authority, the market is readjusting itself after a 2020 surge caused in part by production shortages. The site explains that prices for the C8 have been elevated since the release of the Stingray back in Covid-times. 

And now the market that allowed for one Florida dealer to list a Corvette Z06 for $100,000 over the MSRP is beginning to cool.
