Toyota has introduced the 2027 Grand Highlander lineup. It gains a new Woodland Edition, while two trims get dropped. Woodland features all-terrain tires, black accents, and interior upgrades. Toyota is revamping the Grand Highlander lineup for 2027 as the company has introduced a new Woodland Edition. It’s a slightly more capable crossover with a handful of upgrades. Following in the footsteps of the RAV4 and Sienna Woodlands, the model features black accents, black badging, and matte black 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. The crossover also has taller springs and this helps to give the Grand Highlander an additional half inch (13 mm) of ground clearance. Rounding out the exterior styling changes are roof rails and LED fog lights. The model also comes equipped with a tow hitch and mud guards. The interior builds off the XLE trim and features an assortment of special touches. This includes a unique cooler/console in the second-row, which fits up to six 12-ounce cans and is removable. The model also has all-weather floor mats and a cargo tray with pop-up dividers. Besides the Woodland-branded items, there’s a heated steering wheel, “enhanced lighting,” and second-row captain’s chairs. Buyers will also find a 120V/1500W power outlet in the second-row. The Grand Highlander Woodland Edition starts at $48,780 and comes exclusively with all-wheel drive and a hybrid powertrain. The latter features a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a nickel metal hydride battery, an electric motor, and an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission. This gives the crossover a combined output of 245 hp (183 kW / 248 PS). Grand Highlander Hybrid Max Platinum Besides the Woodland Edition, the $60,475 Grand Highlander Hybrid Max Platinum sees an assortment of updates. The model is effectively entering its emo phase as chrome, silver, and gunmetal accents have been replaced by black trim. Even the body color mirror caps and shark fin antenna go black as nothing says flagship like something that resembles a base model. While there are a handful of changes, the Hybrid Max Platinum continues to have a performance-focused powertrain that consists of a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, a small battery, and a rear eAxle. This setup gives the crossover a combined output of 362 hp (270 kW / 367 PS) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque. Small Changes Elsewhere In The Lineup While Toyota added a new trim for 2027, they’re dropping the Hybrid Nightshade Edition and Hybrid Max Limited. Furthermore, the Platinum with the turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine – producing 265 hp (198 kW / 269 PS) – has been equipped with new 20-inch wheels featuring a two-tone design. XLE variants – with gas and hybrid powertrains – gain a heated steering wheel and new 18-inch wheels with a dark gray painted finish. The 2027 Grand Highlander will arrive at dealerships later this year and pricing starts at $42,560 before a $1,595 destination fee. That’s $300 more than its predecessor. 2027 Toyota Grand Highlander Pricing TrimMSRPGrand Highlander LE$42,560Grand Highlander XLE$45,430Grand Highlander LIMITED$50,060Grand Highlander LE AWD$44,160Grand Highlander XLE AWD$47,030Grand Highlander LIMITED AWD$51,660Grand Highlander PLATINUM AWD$55,745Grand Highlander Hybrid LE AWD$45,910Grand Highlander Hybrid XLE$47,180Grand Highlander Hybrid XLE AWD$48,780Grand Highlander Hybrid Woodland AWD$51,780Grand Highlander Hybrid LIMITED AWD$53,410Grand Highlander Hybrid MAX PLATINUM AWD$60,475 SWIPE Prices exclude a $1,595 destination fee
