Suzuki GSX-8TT Candy Darling RedIt's giving futuristic-retro. Like something Back to the Future's world would have. There are a handful of great-looking motorcycles currently on the market, but few are as enticing as Suzuki's GSX-8TT. The neo-retro sport touring motorcycle is one that combines those potentially clashing aesthetics perfectly, and does so with a flair that gives each rider the ability to express themselves to the fullest. It's just a good-looking motorcycle, you know. Not too busy, not too nostalgic, not too futuristic, just right in every and all proportions. The Goldilocks of the motorcycling world. But oh my lawrdy, Suzuki just delivered a new colorway that takes an already brilliant-looking bike and turns it into possibly the best-looking motorcycle on sale today. No, seriously, it changes the entire aesthetic of the bike for the better, as it digs even further into that neo-retroism with gold wheels, a candy-apple red paint job, and some choice graphics that wouldn't look out of place in the '80s.Someone hold my wallet.Paint, It Does a Motorcycle GoodNew BSA Gold Star Paint Job Has A Much Cooler Backstory Than You'd ExpectKawasaki Hid A Naked Superbike Under Its Best Retro Paint YetThe color is called Candy Darling Red—it's definitely the darling of the motorcycling world right now—and comes complete with gold wheels. Cause who doesn't love gold wheels, am I right? Additionally, you get some lightly revised graphics so as to not clash with the other colors, and that's about it. I don't think you need much more, as the whole colorway takes the already great lines and design of the GSX-8TT and ups everything to 11.Apart from that, everything you liked mechanically about the GSX-8TT is the same. It's powered by the standard 776cc parallel twin engine, which makes 81 horsepower and around 58 lb-ft of torque, and the motorcycle features Nissin brakes, inverted front forks, Dunlop tires, and that gorgeous front cowl meant to evoke racers of the '70s and '80s. There is, however, a possible catch. And it's one that is going to make me cry.Suzuki has only, so far, announced that Candy Darling Red and the gold wheels and dope graphics will be available outside the United States. Yeah, right now, we aren't getting it. We're still stuck with Pearl Matte Shadow Green and Glass Sparkle Black, and...well, they just don't convey the same want or need, despite the bike's design being pretty damn good.In a world that's so full of saturated color, but so devoid of color in our methods of transportation, Suzuki's Candy Darling Red is a great addition. But don't be chicken, Suzuki North America. Bring it here, too.
