At the 2023 edition of Top Marques Monaco, visitors encountered not only exotic supercars and luxury watches but also an unusual automotive story connected to Rebellion Timepieces and its related brands in motorsport and custom vehicles. Speaking on behalf of the company, Rodrigo Furtado explained that Rebellion operates as a group of interconnected businesses including Rebellion Timepieces, Rebellion Motors, and Rebellion Racing, all based in Lausanne, Switzerland. According to Furtado, the company owner created these ventures not as his primary business but as a passion project driven by his love for high performance cars and luxury watches. One of the most fascinating attractions displayed at the event was an extremely rare Vector supercar from the 1990s. Only nineteen examples were ever built worldwide, including two prototypes, leaving just seventeen production models available to collectors. The car was originally created by enthusiasts inspired by both aviation engineering and the dramatic styling of the Lamborghini Countach. The creator admired the Countach design but wanted significantly greater performance, so he collaborated with engineer friends to build a more extreme machine combining aggressive styling with aviation inspired technology. As a result, the Vector featured sharp Lamborghini influenced exterior lines while its cockpit design drew heavily from the interior layout of an F16 fighter jet. Power came from a Corvette based engine, further contributing to the vehicles unusual blend of influences from European exotic cars, American performance engineering, and military aviation aesthetics. The car represented a bold example of automotive creativity from an era when independent manufacturers experimented fearlessly with radical supercar concepts and futuristic engineering ideas beyond mainstream automotive industry expectations worldwide today.Although the rare Vector displayed by Rebellion attracted enormous attention at Top Marques Monaco, Rodrigo Furtado explained that the company owner has no intention of selling the vehicle despite receiving extremely valuable offers over the years. The owner acquired the car roughly a decade earlier, and since then its rarity and reputation have steadily increased its market value among collectors and enthusiasts. Furtado revealed that someone offered approximately 1.5 million dollars for the car two years before the exhibition, yet the proposal was immediately rejected because of the vehicles uniqueness and growing historical significance. Since only a handful exist worldwide, determining its exact value has become increasingly difficult because collectors may be willing to pay almost any amount for such a rare automotive artifact. Beyond financial value, the Vector also serves an important promotional role for Rebellion because it consistently attracts crowds curious about the unusual machine and its history. At exhibitions filled with expensive modern hypercars, the Vector still stands out because of its unconventional appearance, fighter jet inspired cockpit, and extremely limited production numbers. Furtado noted that many visitors instantly recognise Lamborghini influences in the exterior design while becoming fascinated after learning about the aviation inspiration and engineering background behind the project. For Rebellion, displaying the car creates opportunities to introduce visitors to the companys watches, racing division, and automotive interests through a single memorable attraction. The story also highlights how certain rare cars eventually become more than transportation or performance machines alone.
