According to GMAuthority, the 2027 Chevy Equinox EV will finally be available with a premium Bose sound system. GM will offer it on the 2027 Equinox EV as part of the Active Safety Package 3 for an additional cost. For the current model, the Active Safety Package 3 is available exclusively on the LT2 and RS trims for an extra $3,355. It includes 3 years of OnStarOne, GM’s Super Cruise ADAS tech, and Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist. While it may seem like a minor update, a quick search online shows that the sound system is arguably the biggest complaint among current owners. The 2027 Chevy Equinox EV is also expected to be the first model year to feature a built-in NACS port for recharging at Tesla Superchargers. While the new 2027 Bolt is slightly cheaper, starting at $28,595, the Equinox offers more range (up to 319 miles vs 262 miles), interior space (102 cubic feet vs 96.6 cubic feet), and a larger infotainment screen (17.7″ vs 11.3″).
