For the most part, Fox builds parts to help its customers land safely after taking flight over a suitably tempting hill of dirt or sand dune. However, as observed by rapper Flo Rida, sometimes a Fox likes to get low.Fox Factory VehiclesSuch is the case with the new Lowered Chevrolet Silverado Black Widow SR, which is exactly what it says it is. Similar to Fox Factory's Ram 1500 Lowered, a street-style truck launched last year, the Silverado Lowered brings a three-inch suspension drop, available supercharged V-8 power, and massive lateral grip from 305-series rubber mounted on 22-inch wheels.AdvertisementAdvertisementA Camaro with a pickup bed? Plus, while there are plenty of lifted Silverados on the road these days, most of them see a lot more tarmac than gravel.Fox Factory VehiclesFox Factory's take on a Silverado street truck maintains its 1980-pound payload and 13,300-pound max towing capacity, so you can still haul your vintage Nova dragster to the track. The truck's body comes with flares to fit those wide tires, a custom grille and other trimmings, and a rowdy cat-back exhaust.The standard truck features a 355-hp 5.3-liter V-8. But for those who want a lot more oomph, there's an optional supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that brings the muscle up to 675 horsepower and 655 pound-feet of torque. Fox has also reinforced the suspension to reduce wheel hop on hard launches.Fox Factory VehiclesThe interior has also been suitably upgraded, with available quilted diamond leather and black widow spider embossed seats. While the Black Widow starts at $84,685, the supercharged version clears $101K, and that can climb even higher if you spring for the $4895 Brembo brake upgrade, the $2895 retractable tonneau cover, or one of the myriad $9000-plus paint options. Basically, there seems to be no upper limit to what people are willing to spend on a luxury-class pickup, and this factory-supported effort looks to take advantage of that niche.
