The recently introduced Electric Urban Car Family, represented by the subcompact Volkswagen ID. Polo, Skoda Epiq, and Cupra Raval, is seeing huge success, with tens of thousands of cars ordered already and waiting lists that go on for months. The ID. Polo, which went on sale in April, is now sold out, with over 30,000 orders on the books and a ten-month waiting list, according to a major Volkswagen dealer group quoted by Automotive News. The electric crossover version of the automaker's iconic nameplate, dubbed ID. Cross, is also seeing robust demand, even though the first units are expected to land in dealerships in November.Volkswagen ID. Polo (2026)The technically similar Skoda Epiq has been an even bigger hit. With over 35,000 orders since the books opened in July, the Czech automaker's smallest EV is now sold out for several months, with delivery dates as late as June 2027 for new orders. The same goes for the Cupra Raval, which is the sportiest of the four, at least until the hot Volkswagen ID. That said, Volkswagen and Cupra are working to increase the output at the factory in Martorell, Spain, where the ID. Polo and Raval are being assembled. Skoda, which builds the Epiq in Pamplona, is also looking for ways to boost production and cut delivery times. All models deliver at least 200 miles of WLTP range on a full charge, and vehicle-to-load functionality is available across the board, which means owners can export energy from their cars' high-voltage batteries to power appliances, tools, or camping equipment without having to carry external batteries or devices.Related StoriesVW's Hottest Electric GTI Will Have Fake GearsNot Just Buttons: Volkswagen's Latest EV Goes Retro With A 'Tape Deck'The Skoda Epiq Is Europe's Big Small Electric SUVThe Audi A2 E-Tron Packs Up To 401 Miles Of Range And Serious Efficiency
