The Spectre Series II is a redesigned version of Rolls-Royce's first electric model, launched in 2022, adding 18% further range. Rolls-Royce/dpaRolls-Royce has unveiled its latest Spectre model, which arrives with a longer range than before and a more powerful range-topping Black Badge version.Called Spectre Series II, it’s a redesigned version of the brand’s first electric model which was launched in 2022. Now, thanks to ‘engineering updates’, the Spectre Series II can deliver 18 per cent more range than before, bringing 390 miles (627 km) between trips to the plug. This re-engineering also means that the Spectre Series II brings more power than the outgoing model, with 601bhp in the standard car – up from 577bhp – and 670bhp in the high-performance Black Badge model, up from 650bhp. Torque has risen to 1,015 and 1,100Nm respectively, too.AdvertisementAdvertisementAs before, the Spectre gets a split-headlamp design, though a new exterior colour, Ethereal Blue, has been designed specifically for the Series II. A new 23-inch forged alloy wheel design has also been developed, with each wheel hand-finished for up to six hours to create a high-end result. It’s available in part-polished and fully-polished designs, too.Inside, the Spectre Series II brings additional materials for buyers to choose from, including a new ‘Duality Twill’ which uses rayon fabric made from bamboo. An interior crafted from this material can, according to Rolls-Royce, incorporate up to 2.6 million stitches and 10 miles of thread. It’s now available in Lilac, Chocolate, Black and Sage colours, too.A new Brindled Walnut finisher is also available for the first time, which uses walnut sourced from non-fruiting trees which would usually be burned. The wood is then combined with eucalyptus fibres to create a tiger stripe effect. This is then sealed with a lacquer which is blended with glass flakes to create a shimmering effect. The Spectre Series II is expected to be available soon, and though Rolls-Royce hasn’t disclosed pricing, it’s likely to exceed £350,000 ($471,000 or €405,000) in the UK.The Spectre Series II is a redesigned version of Rolls-Royce's first electric model, launched in 2022, adding 18% further range.
