The new MPV will feature an EREV powertrain with 1.5T ICE and dual e-motors; the BEV version is also expected. Maextro is a premium brand under Huawei’s HIMA alliance, manufactured by JAC Motors. It is aimed at competing with ultra-luxurious brands such as Maybach or Rolls-Royce, and is sometimes labelled the ‘Chinese Rolls-Royce’. V800 will be their second car after the S800, a luxurious sedan launched in May last year as a Maybach S-class competitor. The V800 MPV is a second car in Maextro’s lineup. Interestingly, the S800 sedan is a massive success in China. It launched in May last year and, as of March, sold over 15,000 units cumulatively, dominating the premium sedan segment in China over Porsche, BMW or Maybach. The top trim costs over 1 million yuan (150k USD). For example, in December 2025, Maextro S800 became the best-selling car in the premium sedan segment, priced over 700,000 yuan (103,000 USD), and sold 4,376 units, outselling the second-best, the Porsche Panamera, which sold 1,593 units. In January, S800 was the winner of this segment again, with 2,625 units sold, ahead of the BMW 7 Series and the Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class. Note that the list includes both electric vehicles and ICE (internal combustion engine) cars. New Maextro S800 Flagship edition filled to MIIT today. It has the same powertrain and dimensions, but new colours and equipment. Maextro V800 is a massive MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) with dimensions 5495/2006/1850 mm (length/width/height) and 3430 mm wheelbase. The curb weight is 3,190 kg, and the gross vehicle weight is 3,800 kg. From the pictures, we can see that the car has three rows and six seats. A 4-seater version will likely be available as well. The V800 is equipped with a 1.5-litre ICE model, M8100PHD from JAC, which can deliver up to 127 kW. As it is EREV, the ICE is not connected to the wheels and can only charge the battery or help the e-motors. The car is equipped with two e-motors: the front with 160 kW and the rear with 230 kW, delivering a combined 390 kW (523 hp). The battery is from CATL, and its capacity hasn’t been revealed yet. CarNewsChina expects it to be around 65 kWh, good for a 280 km CLTC pure-electric range. V800’s rear. Maextro has applied for a sales license only for the EREV version as of today, but the all-electric version will surely follow.
