But the biggest surprise with the new ONVO L60 is this: a major specification upgrade comes with a lower price tag.What exactly changed in the new L60?Exterior-wise, the new L60 keeps the current model's fastback silhouette. Dimensions remain unchanged at 4,828 x 1,930 x 1,616 mm with a 2,950 mm wheelbase, and the drag coefficient stays at 0.229 Cd. Changes are in the details: the front bumper's side air intakes are gone, the front intake is sleeker, and the rear "ONVO" lettering has been removed, leaving only the brand logo.New additions include Interstellar Grey paint and 20-inch Starburst Silver wheels, while the side mirrors get a small blue light for intelligent driving assistance. The top-tier version features a roof-mounted "lookout tower" style LiDAR — the most visual distinction between the new and old models.The interior and rear-seat setup are the focus of this upgrade. The AWD version accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.Battery options come in 60 kWh and 85 kWh capacities. CLTC ranges are 530 km / 560 km (RWD / AWD with 60 kWh) and 707 km / 740 km (with 85 kWh). The entire lineup supports 900V high-speed fast charging, taking just 25 minutes to go from 10% to 80%. The RWD version's energy consumption drops to 11.9 kWh per 100 km, putting it among the best in its SUV class.Down 14,000 Yuan: ONVO's Strategic MoveWhile specs saw a major upgrade, the new ONVO L60's price moved in the opposite direction. The old model ranged from 206,900 to 255,900 yuan; the new one drops to 192,800 to 222,800 yuan. The entry barrier has been lowered by 14,000 yuan outright.Under the BaaS battery leasing plan, the entry version can be purchased for just 135,800 yuan. The Max+ version costs 202,800 yuan to buy outright, or 145,800 yuan with the lease.ONVO President Shen Fei admitted that because the new L60 carries flagship hardware like the Shenji chip and LiDAR, actual costs rose by over 20,000 yuan. Cutting prices despite rising costs — and dropping Nio's 600,000-yuan-class ES9 smart driving tech into the 200,000-yuan market — is a rare move in the industry.The importance of the new L60 launch goes beyond just one model's sales. Internally, Nio has set a sales structure target for its three brands: Nio, ONVO, and Firefly are to account for a 3:6:1 ratio.
